Simplicity and Intricacy Dazzling in the Sparkling Sunshine

Whether a piece of fashion is soft and simplistic or loud and intricately detailed…

Whether a piece of fashion is solidly hued and unembellished or a kaleidoscope of varieties and ornamentations…

Both pieces of fashion emit this wonderful, undeniable burst of energy. Both fashions give off this spirited warmth and endearing quality that captivates the eye and gravitates the mind. The simplicity or the intricacy delves deep into and thrives within the powers of design and artistic glory. For Resort 2015, there are two collections, Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton, that respectively explore these beauties and feelings of effortlessness and of embroidered, textured sensation.

Bottega Veneta

With a marvelous feeling of ethereality and glowing, floating vivacity, this collection really speaks to elegant easiness, to this sense of smooth, bright enthusiasm. There is this charming simplicity to each of the Bottega Veneta fashions, with beautifully fluid floral and tie dye colorations as printed accents. The glistening, sunny dresses accentuated with solid belts, the wonderful, matching button downs and skirts, the rosy printed trench coat, the exquisite, gentle gowns, the lightly hued pastel colorations of yellow, pink, blue, and purple, give off this summery, welcoming feel of delight.

There is a gravitating mixture of prints, textures, and designs within this resort Louis Vuitton collection. There is this indisputable vigor housed within each embellished creation, this intricate splendor. The collection brings with it this artistic diversity, this wonderful distinctiveness inherent in each fashion. The boldly hued, sleek pants, the skirts and dresses of growing coral-like patterns and sparkling, glossy embellishments, the lacy tops and detailings, the overall feelings of daringness prospering within the red, aqua, yellow, black, and infinite other hues, give off this splendid gaiety and style.

Breathtaking Couture that is Praised

Charles James…

An artist who created fashions of prominence and beauty. A courtier who created empowering fashions of boldness and lack of fear.

At the Met Gala this year, this incredible creative presence of fashion was celebrated. His influence on the world of couture was recognized and praised by many individuals.

Here are my three favorite looks from the Gala…

Blake Lively looked terrific in this shining gown of glistening, memorable glory. This  stunning Gucci creation, with its sheer, cape-like drapery flowing in a movement of sparkles in the back, with its golden sequins sparkling throughout, with its beautiful form-fitting look, with its radiating fluidity and subtle shining overlap in the front, was exquisite…Lively carried with her an aura of undeniable, shining magnificence. Paired with rich, grand jewels of rosy red and pink hues, this look was breathtaking.

Dita von Teese gave off this unmistakable feeling of boldness and confidence in this beautiful Zac Posen gown. This light, off white hued creation dazzled brightly in its awesome constructive glory and in its perfect red accents that edged the upper half of the dress and grazed the bottom, uniting effortlessly with the red carpet. Its luxurious smooth tightness created a wonderful mermaid shape that dramatically went outwards at the bottom, creating a geometric, fluted emphasis that was stunning. With diamond and golden jewelry and a matching red clutch, Dita von Teese looked amazing!

'Charles James: Beyond Fashion' Costume Institute Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker looked incredible at the Met Gala this year. This Oscar de la Renta gown shined on the red carpet in its outer and inner strength and wonderful beauty. The upper half of dark hued velvet softness and attached shining petal-like designs contrasted perfectly with the lightly hued, gleaming bottom of the gown, both merging together in this total look of grandness and undeniable elegance. Only given more power with the striking white opera gloves and the gown’s marvelous square pattern grazing the back, this design was simply beautiful. Sarah Jessica Parker looked fantastic.

Couture continues to thrive and shine in its artistic beauty.
